Beck Hall as a self-catering holiday cottage   Christmas and New Year 2008/2009

For two weeks of the year Beck Hall changes from being a Bed and Breakfast to being a holiday cottage for large groups. We find that groups staying at Beck Hall can really settle down and spend time together. After spending the rest of the year running around and touching base briefly it is uniquely special to have a week getting to rediscover the simple joys of companionship and conversation. Face to face conversation, not over email, phones, mobiles, IM or txt messages!

Beck Hall has all the ingredients needed to make a wonderful week without the outside world intruding,

10 (or 17) en-suite bedrooms that can sleep up to 24 (or 42) people in 14 (or 23) beds
child friendly location and building, with toys, natural wonders and room to roam

centrally located in Malham, North Yorkshire, for all members of your group

2 reception rooms with space for 45 people to dine - so plenty of Lego play area!

staff visits to provide attraction/visitor advice, replace broken light bulbs
historic 1710 building with mullion windows and beams
superb countryside views from the majority of the bedrooms
four of the bedrooms equipped with antique four-poster beds
fantastic short and long walks right off the doorstep, starting with the Pennine Way
south facing patio to catch any winter rays that may be about
120 yards from 2 fine dining pubs, serving Timothy Taylor, Black Sheep, Thwaites and Boddingtons
30 vehicle car park with security lights
dog friendly rooms located close by an outside door
fully inspected and working fire detection system
large gas central heating plant to stay warm and operate power showers
laundry with large 6Kg washer and dryer
waterfalls, mill shops, market towns, steam railways all within a 30-minute drive

• 24 hour always on 500Kbps ADSL Internet link
the OR part of the room descriptions is because we have our main building with 11 bedrooms and an annex with another 7 bedrooms. You can chooose whether to use the annex or not

As part of your stay we are happy to arrange grocery and food deliveries plus optional maid service to tidy rooms and make beds on a daily basis.
