Beck Hall is now open following govenment advice. We have completed a full COVID-19 risk assessment for the hotel and made many changes in aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19. A summary of these actions are included below:
For Restaurant customers
- Some tables have been removed to allow social distancing
- no service at the bar; table service only
- menus are wipe-clean and sanitised after each use
- table are not set before arrival
- sanitiser available throughout the restaurant and at entrance
- extra signage advising guests of new procedures
- doors opened where possible for ventilation
- extra cleaning and sanitising throughout the day
- glassware and cutlery will not be polished to reduce handling
- sneeze guards around the bar
- one way system and distancing markers around the restaurant to encourage social distancing
- contact tracing details are collected from all customers
- Card payments encouraged wherever possible
For Hotel guests
- Contactless check in and sanitised keys and sneeze guards at reception desk
- no luggage assistance given unless requested
- no daily housekeeping to reduce contact
- throws, extra pillows and hairdryers removed from rooms
- room is sanitised after cleaning and then locked
- breakfast bar removed, can be ordered to table
- contactless check-out with key drop-box for sanitising
For Staff
- Temperature and questionnaire taken on arrival testing for COVID-19 symptoms
- Social distancing in place throughout the premises
- frequent hand washing enforced
- Staff required to wash their uniforms each shift
- staff belongings stored in sealed bags separately
- masks and visors available if requested (government best practice advises that they need not be required in a hospitality setting)
