Introduction
Beck Hall is a fully plant-based 20-bedroom hotel, bar and restaurant located in the pretty village of Malham in the Yorkshire Dales. The property is a 2 minute walk to the centre of the village. The hotel is located on the main road through the village which is of tarmac construction. The road does not have a footpath alongside it but the road is not usually very busy with vehicles.
Rooms are located on the ground and first floors. There is no lift access.

The nearest railway station is Gargrave, Hellifield and Settle. These are around a 20 minute car journey away.
The nearest bus stop is opposite the Buck Inn at the centre of the village. There is usually around one bus per day. For bus timetables see http://www.dalesbus.org/ Busses are

Arrival & car parking facilities
We have ample on-site parking spaces which located at the front of the property. For the benefit of all our guests we cannot reserve or allocate parking, it is offered on a first-come, first served basis.
The car park is located around 20m further down the road from the hotel and is a mainly flat gravel area.
Guests must cross a narrow stone footbridge with single handrail to access the hotel from the roadside. This bridge is approximatly 50cm wide at most points.
Vehicular access through the stream is possible through the ford with a 4×4 at certain times although the water level can make this impassible. Please advise us if you would like to drive through the ford.
Once over the bridge access to the bar/reception/reception is down a gravel path. There is a gentle ramped, paved path into the reception/bar/resturant area which is all step free. This area also contains the toilets.
Bedrooms
All bedrooms are located on the ground and first floors, there is no lift access
There are stairs to all our bedrooms with a single balustrade.
Ground floor rooms are:
- Room 7 – Double with shower over bath
- Room 10 – Double/Twin with walk in shower
- Aire – Double with walk in shower
- Lower Riverside – King Double with walk in shower
- Room 15 – King Double with walk in shower and bath
Bathrooms, shower-rooms & toilets
All bedrooms are en-suite, with shower rooms or bath (rooms 4,6,7,12,15,16). Where there are shower rooms, all of the showers are large enclosed cubicles with a step up. All toilets are standard level and all basins are standard sized basins.
Public areas
Halls, stairs, landings, corridors
Our public areas including the hallways and the staircases are lit by overhead lights which are on at all times. The areas are carpeted with good quality carpet or hard flooring (outside rooms 5,8,9,12). The stairs are typical steep as expected within a 350 year old building.
Snug
The guest snug is situated at ground floor level. It has stone flooring and is well lit with a multitude of lighting options. The doorway is standard size with two steps down from the bar/reception area to access it or level access from outside through a narrow doorway.
Bar/restaurant
The bar and restaurant is located on the ground floor. it has level access from outside. It has a tiled floor, it is level throughout. There is natural daylight from large windows as well as overhead and wall lighting.
Toilets
Toilets are located in the bar/restaurant area. There are 3 unisex cubicles, one of which is equipped with disabled facilities and baby change table.
Diets
We cater for many dietary requirements including Vegetarian, Vegan and wheat intolerance.
With advance notice we can adapt most of our menu items for any dietery requirements you may have.
All meals are by waiter service although a cold buffet is also available at breakfast, we can offer assistance with this if required.
Additional information
We have a fire procedure and can assist with evacuation where necessary.
We are very knowledgeable about the local area and can assist with ideas for days out and about.
We have information booklets, timetables and maps.
We have fast, free wi-fi throughout the majority of the building.
Limited mobile coverage is available but it cannot be relied upon. The EE network offers the best coverage.
